Results and outcomes in the project

The main objective of this output is to determine the existing situation of social entrepreneurship with regards to: determination of the particular needs of the target group, the NEETs and to analysis on the skills gap that exists in the field of social entrepreneurship (skills required for the successful management of a social enterprise and skills available and existing amongst social entrepreneurs).
The needs analysis is expected to reveal the requirement for targeted training areas and the creation of a tailored curriculum for the development of skills relevant to entrepreneurship and the social economy.

The development of the curriculum for Young Social Entrepreneurs, based on ECVET principles, through this website aims to:
1. foster the entrepreneurial motivation, skills and mindset.
2. raise the learners’ awareness of the various aspects of starting up and running a successful business and social enterprise – legal, financial, managerial, leadership, marketing, etc.
3. provide a comprehensive online learning environment combining theory, practice, online coaching from experienced trainers and mentors, active networking with peers and opportunity to attract potential investors.
4. The inspiring experiential learning journey is based with tasks, missions and challenges, through which – enabled by the game elements of the platform– the users will develop the basic knowledge, skills and mindset, required to become social entrepreneurs.

The guidelines examine all factors that are crucial for the successful implementation of curriculum, materials and tools. Moreover, through this output, the guide describes the training program, its contents, educational materials and tools, as well as, the training methodology. The main purpose of this guideline is to encourage VET providers to implement the proposed curriculum as a solution towards youth unemployment.

Τhe MoU is an operative document among project and enterprises, professional associations, policy makers, adult training centers/VET providers, aimed to assure the sustainability of the project, by promoting and encouraging the introduction and incorporation of the curriculum for Social Entrepreneurs and by cooperating in the field of validation, transfer of learning outcomes and credit achieved by learners. The MoU is a document that describes the agreement between all aforementioned groups and which outlines planes actions in terms of the promotion and institutionalism of the European curriculum for social entrepreneurship for NEETS.
